Your Legacy, Forged in Gold

Chetan came to the damru not as a picture of an instrument but as a sound — the drum-beat beneath his days that does not charge him up but calms him down. Shiva's damru is the source of nāda, the first vibration. He asked for the beat that steadies him, made to rest over his heart. We settled the whole of it in one line: bold on the body, still in the spirit. Presence, not noise. On the reverse, known only to him, sits ॐ नमः शिवाय.

Naam came with one wish made of two. The ring had to be Mili's in every line — minimal, curved, a single stone, nothing that argues for attention. And it had to carry their names. His first thought was an engraving hidden inside the band. We found something quieter and stronger: their two names became the pillars of the setting itself, the columns that raise Mili's violet sapphire and hold it to the light. We drew it two ways and kept the calmer one. The names are the only ornament it needs. A solitaire, the way she wanted — and one of a kind, the way their story is.

Preston did not want a plain band, and he did not want one large stone asking for attention. He wanted many small moments. So the band became a loop of dots — small points of metal linked into a circle, with diamonds bezel-set where the celebrations fall. The everyday is the metal. The turning points are the light. He measures a life as a loop, not a straight line. That is what we built.

The Story She was born in February. He was born in September. Their daughter, in April. Three birthdays — three stones — one ring. The amethyst at the centre is hers, pear-cut and held high. The sapphires that curl around it, in marquise and round, are his. The diamonds that follow the band, quiet and continuous, are the child's. A piece commissioned to mark a family, not a moment. The asymmetry is intentional: no two angles read the same, the way a household never repeats a day.

A year later, Sam came to the bench with a brief: a ring that holds the shape of a return. The loop is the answer. A single line of gold begins at the band, lifts, encircles an oval sapphire — Julie's stone, the one she had always worn — and continues without breaking. There is no clasp in the design, no joinery the eye can find. The line that left is the line that came back. The pavé runs the length of it: a small, continuous light along a path that closed on itself.
