The Spark
A bracelet I had never made — my own.
I have set hundreds of stones for other hands. The wish to design a bracelet from the first line, and to wear it myself, sat unanswered for years. This is the record of finally answering it.
A private page, kept in your name. As the piece moves from the first conversation to your hand, every step — every brief, every render, every commitment, every photograph from the bench — is written here, in the order it happens. By my own hand.
My first bracelet — designed, set, and worn on my own wrist, for daily wear.
For twenty years I made what the bench was asked to make. This one I made for myself. It is the first bracelet I have drawn and built from nothing — a band of four sky-blue stones, set in the Kundan way, to be worn on a working wrist every day. I am keeping its record here, the way I keep every client's: one piece, one story, in order. The choosing is the only thing left.
From the first conversation to the morning your piece arrives in your hand.

Black oxide is sunk into every recess until the silver reads as shadow and the blue lifts cleanly out of it. The Kundan frames hold their detail in low light; the band is quietest at the cuff and deepest under a lamp. The oldest face of the three, and the most worn-in from the first day.
Epithet:Silver, kept in shadow.

The four stations march the length of the band in even measure — frame after frame, the fluted links keeping time between them. Read end-on it is a colonnade; on the wrist it is a cadence. Of the three it is the most ordered: structure, set walking.
Epithet:Four lights, set to one step.

Rhodium brings the silver to full white, and between the stones the RALJE cipher is struck into the links — the Mark moved from the inside of the band to its face. Of the three, the only one that says plainly whose hand made it. The signature, made structural.

The final piece we agreed upon.
Four elements, struck on the inside of the band, where only you will read them.
Hidden where the wearer will find them but the world will not.
Delivered. Jay confirmed the delivery.
